Retina Display Support

For high-resolution (retina) displays, you can upload images at 2x the standard dimensions. The platform will automatically detect and optimize these images for retina displays.

Example:

  • Standard size: 300 × 250
  • Retina size: 600 × 500 (2x width and height)

When uploading a retina image, ensure the dimensions are exactly double the standard size. The platform validates that the image is a 2x version of an accepted standard size.

Image Best Practices

  1. Optimize file size - Keep images under 2 MB while maintaining quality
  2. Use appropriate formats:
    • JPEG for photographs and complex images
    • PNG for images with transparency or text
    • GIF for simple animations (if supported by placement)
  3. Design for retina - Consider uploading 2x versions for better quality on high-DPI screens
  4. Test visibility - Ensure text and logos are readable at the target size
  5. Follow brand guidelines - Maintain consistent branding across all creative sizes

Video Creatives

File Requirements

  • Supported Format: MP4
  • Maximum File Size: 50 MB
  • Codec: H.264 recommended
  • Audio: Optional but recommended

Video Specifications

Specification Requirement
Duration 5 - 90 seconds
File Size Maximum 50 MB
Format MP4 (video/mp4)
Recommended Codec H.264
Recommended Bitrate 1-5 Mbps
Aspect Ratio 16:9 or 1:1 recommended

Video Best Practices

  1. Optimize duration - Keep videos concise (15-30 seconds ideal for most placements)
  2. Compress effectively - Balance quality and file size to stay under 50 MB
  3. Include captions - Many users watch videos without sound
  4. Strong opening - Capture attention in the first 3 seconds
  5. Clear call-to-action - Include CTA in the last few seconds
  6. Test on mobile - Ensure video plays smoothly on mobile devices

Upload Validation

When uploading creative assets, the platform validates:

  1. File format - Must match accepted MIME types
  2. File size - Must not exceed maximum limits
  3. Image dimensions - Must match one of the accepted standard or retina sizes
  4. Video duration - Must be between 5 and 90 seconds

If validation fails, you'll receive a specific error message indicating what needs to be corrected.

Common Upload Errors

Error Message Cause Solution
Invalid mime type Unsupported file format Use JPEG, PNG, GIF for images or MP4 for videos
File size exceeds limit File too large Compress image to under 2 MB or video to under 50 MB
