How to create advertising line items

  1. Go to Aidem Ads.

  2. In the left-hand side menu section, select “Line Items”.

  3. In the newly opened window in the top right corner click “New Line Item”.

  4. Afterwards you should land in the new line item creation page where you should enter the following setup options:

    1. Advertiser selection – the advertiser should be automatically assigned to the current one. However there is an ability to change the advertiser if the campaign was created under another advertiser.

    2. Campaign selection – here you should select your newly created campaign.

    3. Creative type – a type of the creative used for this line item.

    4. Line Item Start Date - the exact date when the line item should start.

    5. Line Item End Date – the exact date when the line item ends.

    6. Line Item name – unique name to help your team identify the line item.

    7. Line Item Description (optional) – a short description to describe the goal of the line item.

  5. When all the required fields are entered you should be able to go to the next step by clicking the button “Next” in the top right corner.

  6. If you have already uploaded creatives required for this line item, then please use instructions provided in the paragraph 8, otherwise please follow these instructions to upload a new creative :

    1. Press the “New Creative” button to add a new creative association

    2. Afterwards you should land in the new creative upload page where you should enter the following setup options:

      1. Type – a type of the creative to be uploaded.

      2. Name – unique name to help your team identify the creative.

      3. Description (optional) – a short description to describe what kind of creative it is.

      4. Creative upload field – location where you can drag and drop or press the upload button to upload your creative asset.

    3. When the required fields are filled, please move forward to the next step by clicking the “Next” button in the top right corner.

    4. After landing in the configuration step, you should enter the following configuration options:

      1. Advertiser – a specific advertiser under which the creative is created.

      2. Landing Page URL – a landing page URL where the user should end up after clicking on the creative.

      3. Creative Start Date (Optional) - the exact date when the creative should become active.

      4. Creative End Date (Optional) - the exact date when the creative should be disactivated.

    5. After filling the required fields, please click the “Save” button in the top right corner.

    6. After the previous step you should see your creative already assigned to the line item and present in the list.

    7. The final step is to set a weight – a likelihood that a given creative is selected (single creative association should always have a value set at 100%, and multiple creative association should sum up to 100%).

  7. Assign existing creative (optional):

    1. Press the “Existing Creative” button to add a new creative association

    2. Select a creative from the dropdown list.

    3. Set a Creative Association Start Date (Optional) - the exact date when the creative association should start.

    4. Set a Creative Association End Date (Optional) - the exact date when the creative association should end.

    5. Set a Weight – a likelihood that a given creative is selected (single creative association should always have a value set at 100%, and multiple creative association should sum up to 100%).

  8. Go to the next step by clicking the “Next” button.

  9. Then you should land in the line item budget page where you should enter the following budget setup options:

    1. Overall - Overall budget of the Line Item. The budget of an individual Line Item cannot exceed the Campaign budget.

    2. Daily - Daily budget cap of the Line Item. Daily budget must be high enough to allow entire budget to spend over the dates of the Line Item.

    3. CPM - This is the bid amount for your Line Item.

    4. Pacing Strategy - Determines how your budget is spent through the life of the campaign.

      1. Lifetime - Daily pace target is calculated by dividing the line item total budget by the line item's total duration.

      2. Daily - Daily pace target is equal to the daily budget (Daily Budget is required).

      3. Flight - Flight pace target is determined based by the flights setup (At lease one flight is required).

    5. Flights (optional, pacing strategy must be set to Flight) - Line Item Flights allow users to set a single Line Item to start and stop delivering across multiple time horizons with multiple budgets. If you would like to use this feature please click on the “+ Add Flights” button and follow these steps to add a flight:

      1. Click the button “+ Add Flight”.

      2. Enter flight name.

      3. Set a Flight Start Date- the exact date when the flight start time is active.

      4. Set a Flight End Date- the exact date when the flight end time is active.

      5. Set Planned budget – the amount of budget which should be spent during the selected time frame. This amount cannot be higher than line item budget.

      6. After all the fields above are filling click the “Save” button.

    6. Frequency cap (optional) – how often the ads assigned to the line item should be shown to the same person. If you would like to use this feature please click the button “+ Add Frequency Cap” and fill in the following entries:

      1. Ads – the number of ads shown.

      2. Frequency Cap reset timeframe.

    7. Go to the next step by clicking the “Next” button.

    8. This should bring you to the last step before we can set the line item live. In this step you should enter the exact audience which should be targeted by this line item.

    9. After the desired audience description has been filled in, the next step is to click the button on the bottom called “Generate Audience”.

    10. Finally the desired audience should be generated and there is just the last step left to make the line item active which is to click the button “Active Line Item”.
